Gong Yoo bids farewell to his cat of 15 Years: 'Thank you, see you again'

Korean actor Gong Yoo has said goodbye to his beloved longtime cat, whom he considered family and held close to his heart.

The “Goblin” actor shared a heartfelt farewell on social media, accompanied by photos of him with his cat, Kongkong.

“Because you were my first, I cared about you even more, and I liked that you were like me, though I don't know how you felt,” Gong Yoo wrote.

He added, “Thank you for staying by my side for so long. Let’s meet again for sure. I miss you.”

Though brief, his message conveyed the depth of his grief over losing a companion who had been part of his life for many years.

The photos showed Gong Yoo spending quiet moments with Kongkong, including one of the cat resting comfortably on his lap as the actor gazed at him affectionately.

Fans expressed their condolences and sent messages of comfort to the actor as they mourned the loss alongside him. Gong Yoo has long been known for his love of animals and has shared glimpses of his life with his pets over the years.

His farewell to Kongkong, particularly his promise that they would meet again, struck an especially emotional chord with fans.
