Pampanga placed under state of calamity amid widespread flooding

PAMPANGA — The entire province of Pampanga has been placed under a State of Calamity due to the severe impact of continuous rains and the Enhanced Southwest Monsoon or Habagat.
The declaration was made through Resolution No. 10524 following the extensive flooding and damage reported across the province.
As of 12 noon on August 12, 2026, a total of 860,076 individuals or 269,775 families have been affected.
While affected barangays 297across 17 local government units (LGUs), while 7,731 individuals have evacuated to safer areas.
The agricultural sector has sustained more than P505 million in damages, affecting 3,787 farmers and fisherfolk.
With the declaration, authorities are expected to expedite the use of calamity funds and the delivery of relief assistance, emergency response and other forms of support to affected residents.
Officials appealed to residents to remain vigilant, follow advisories from local authorities and prioritize safety as the province continues to deal with the effects of the Habagat.
