Bulacan police, gov't leaders extend aid to flood victims

Flood‑hit families in Bulacan received food packs and hot meals during a relief operation in Barangay Malis, Guiguinto, the most populous village in the town, after the recent southwest monsoon and Typhoons Luis and Maymay.

The Provincial Police Office (PPO), headed by acting director Col. Jay B. Baybayan, joined Governor Daniel Fernando, Vice Gov. Alexis C. Castro, and the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) in the distribution effort on Tuesday, Aug. 11.
Col. Baybayan said that more than the relief goods and meals provided, the activity also served as a reminder that no community has to face adversity alone.
He said that through the strong partnership of the Bulacan PPO and the Provincial Government of Bulacan, a helping hand was extended to families in need, embodying the true spirit of bayanihan, compassion, and solidarity.
He added that in times of calamity, the Bulacan PPO remains committed to being present where help is needed most, standing alongside the people, listening to their needs, and providing support with genuine care and compassion.
"Together with the Bulacan government, we continue to build stronger and more resilient communities, especially in times of crisis, guided by the commitment to deliver serbisyong mabilis, tapat, at nararamdaman," the acting Bulacan police director said.
Meanwhile, Gov. Fernando thanked the Bulacan police and barangay captains who helped properly distribute the basic needs of the people affected by the flash floods.
