NLEX import DeQuan Jones suffered a gruesome leg injury and was stretchered off the court during the Road Warriors’ game against TNT on Tuesday.
Jones went down at the 7:27 mark of the third quarter after a mid-air collision with Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser, who lost his balance and landed on the NLEX import’s right leg.
According to the initial assessment by team and league doctors, Jones suffered a complete fracture of his lower leg.
The NLEX forward immediately grimaced in pain and remained on the floor before being taken out on a stretcher and brought to the hospital.
A broadcast report said Jones is expected to undergo surgery on his injured leg on Wednesday, Aug. 12.
The Road Warriors gathered at center court to pray for Jones following the frightening incident.
Ganuelas-Rosser, meanwhile, was visibly shaken, with tears in his eyes as he struggled to process what had happened. He also exited the game after hitting his head on the floor in the same sequence.
Jones was playing well prior to his exit, putting up 23 points – 16 of which he fired in the first half.
