SEVENTEEN's Mingyu, Seungkwan, Dino to enlist in military

SEVENTEEN members Mingyu, Seungkwan and Dino are set to begin their mandatory military service in September and October.
Their agency, Pledis Entertainment, announced on Aug. 10 that the three K-pop idols will fulfill their mandatory military duty in South Korea.
Mingyu will begin his service on Sept. 10 as an alternative service worker.
According to Pledis Entertainment, Mingyu will continue to participate in SEVENTEEN’s official activities before his enlistment. There will be no official event on the day he begins his service or when he later reports to the training center.
The agency also asked fans not to visit the location of Mingyu’s alternative service.
"Please refrain from visiting the place of his alternative service," Pledis Entertainment said.
Meanwhile, Seungkwan and Dino will begin their military service on Oct. 26 and will serve in the Korean Army’s military band.
Pledis Entertainment also asked fans not to visit the enlistment site, noting that other enlistees and their families will be present.
Following their enlistment, Mingyu, Seungkwan and Dino will take a hiatus from group activities and will be unable to participate in SEVENTEEN’s scheduled activities during their service.
Last month, Pledis Entertainment announced that Vernon will begin his alternative service on Aug. 20, while DK will enlist as an active-duty soldier on Sept. 8.
