- Rayu Gravador and Frances Lacap won the second season of Sparkle Campus Cutie and were named the newest Ultimate Campus Cuties.
Rayu Gravador and Frances Lacap ended their Campus Cutie journey on a high note after taking home the top titles in the second season of Sparkle’s search for young campus stars.
The two were declared the Ultimate Campus Cuties during the Season 2 finale on Sunday, August 9.
Rayu and Frances were presented with their trophies and sashes by GMA Network Senior Vice President Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes and Sparkle GMA Artist Center First Vice President Joy Marcelo.
Their win also comes with a bigger opportunity. Both are now officially part of Sparkle GMA Artist Center, GMA Network’s talent management arm.
Rayu and Frances had another reason to celebrate as they were also chosen as the Social Media Favorite. Rayu added one more distinction to his haul after winning the TikTok Live Viewer’s Choice award.
Known as “Ang Cutie Lover Boy ng Bulacan,” Rayu emerged as one of the season’s most popular contestants.
The competition ended with Ronnie Pasamba and Abi Arnold taking the first runner-up spots, while Enzo Torrano and Ysa Prats finished as second runners-up.
The second season started with 20 student hopefuls between the ages of 15 and 21. They came from different schools and backgrounds, bringing their own personalities and talents to the competition.
Rather than putting all of the contestants in one mold, the show grouped them into four personalities: School Popular Cuties, School Jock Cuties, Nerdy Cuties, and Artsy Cuties.
Among the School Popular Cuties were Rayu, Frances, Lucas Bulaong of De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde, Fredo Liok II of De La Salle University, Ysa Prats of Mapúa Malayan Colleges Laguna, and Geanne Castro of Angeles University Foundation.
The School Jock Cuties were Madoxx Miguel of St. Clare College, Ronnie Pasamba of De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde, Mateo Artadi of German European School Manila, Holly Gaisano See of Brent International School, and Mhai Arekat of Frames of Mind School.
The Nerdy Cuties included Rion Cheng of Bicol Merchant Marine College, Ethan Benares of the University of St. La Salle-Bacolod, Mary Francine Pamintuan of De La Salle University, and Abi Arnold of Angeles University Foundation.
The Artsy Cuties were Enzo Torano of Mapúa University Makati, Thirdy Dangca of San Beda College, Julia Fresado of the University of the Philippines Open University, Zyl Baker of College of St. Catherine, and Euanne Preglo of Davao Merchant Marine Academy College of Southern Philippines.
After weeks of challenges and appearances, Rayu and Frances now move on to a new stage of their careers.
Their Campus Cutie victory has opened the door to Sparkle, where the two can begin building their careers as part of GMA’s growing roster of young talents.
