Muntinlupa, Pateros employees report to work

The Muntinlupa City government deployed a skeleton workforce while the Pateros municipal government ordered all employees to report to work on Aug. 10 amid the continuous rains in Metro Manila.  

Muntinlupa Ruffy Biazon and Pateros Mayor Gerald German issued directives related to Malacañang’s  memorandum circular which ordered a work from home arrangement for government offices in the National Capital Region and other areas. 

In Muntinlupa, a skeleton workforce for offices performing vital functions was deployed. 

Biazon said these offices include those that provide permits, clearances, payments and collection, including the Local Civil Registry; offices handling vital internal operational processes such as accounting, budget, Bids and Awards Committee Secretariat and Public Information Office; and security and safety. 

In Pateros, German ordered all municipal government employees to report to work. 

“Bagama't kinikilala natin ang layunin ng nasabing kautusan, mahalaga rin pong isaalang-alang ang natatanging kalagayan at pangangailangan ng Bayan ng Pateros, kung saan ang Pamahalaang Bayan ang pangunahing tanggapan na nilalapitan ng ating mga mamamayan para sa iba't ibang serbisyo (While we recognize the purpose of the said order, it is also important to consider the unique circumstances and needs of the Municipality of Pateros, where the Municipal Government is the main office that our citizens approach for various services),” he posted on Facebook. 

He added, “Dahil dito, ang lahat ng kawani ng Pamahalaang Bayan ng Pateros ay kinakailangang pumasok at mag-report sa kani-kanilang tanggapan bukas, Agosto 10, 2026, upang matiyak ang tuloy-tuloy na paghahatid ng serbisyo publiko sa ating mga kababayan (For this reason, all employees of the Municipal Government of Pateros are required to go to work and report to their respective offices tomorrow, August 10, 2026, to ensure the continuous delivery of public services to our fellow citizens).” 

Also covered by Malacanang’s memorandum circular are Ilocos Sur, La Union, Zambales, Bataan, Rizal, Cavite, Batangas, Occidental Mindoro, Benguet, Pangasinan, Abra, Tarlac,  Pampanga, Oriental Mindoro and Bulacan.
