The Golf Invitational gives partners and patrons a closer look at the LLV experience

A well-planned property is about more than the spaces it provides. Its location and amenities can also shape how people spend their time and interact with others. This was evident at Landco Lifestyle Ventures’ (LLV) Golf Invitational at John Hay, which brought together the company’s partners, patrons, and friends for a weekend centered on leisure and connection.

The gathering started with cocktails at The 19th T at the Forest Wing before players headed to the golf club for the tournament. Among the prizes was a residence at The Nautilus, Landco Pacific’s beachfront condominium at CaSoBē in Calatagan, Batangas, offered for a hole-in-one. The weekend wrapped up with an awards ceremony that recognized the tournament’s top performers.
For Erickson Y. Manzano, CEO of LLV, the event was also a way to spend time with the people who contribute to the company’s work outside the usual business environment. “We can be as good as we want to be, but sometimes great work takes great partners, and the LLV Invitational is our way of recognizing that, spending real, unhurried time with the people who make our great work possible. It's also good business: a weekend at John Hay lets us catch up and reconnect away from the boardroom, and it doesn't feel like work, it feels like the life we're always trying to build for our clients. That's life on vacation.”

On the course, Adones Baluyut posted an even-par 72 to take Lowest Gross after a countback on holes 16 to 18, while Luisito Basit secured Lowest Net at 65. Edison Go finished first in Regulars Class A, with Kevin Enciso as First Runner-Up and Andrew Ambatali as Second Runner-Up. Regulars Class B came down to a close countback among three players at net 69, with Jaime Pisawen taking the title on two birdies, followed by Patrick Hipol with one birdie and Manjit Singh Reandi with six pars. In Class C, Bryan Patrick Tan won at net 68, followed by Darwin Chan at 69 and Hans Perez at 70.
The Seniors Division saw Mayor Benjamin Magalong finish on top at net 67, with Gerardo Aguado also posting 67 and Noel Flores 68. Micah Go led the Ladies Division at net 68, while Winnie Lou Espiritu and Fretzie Jaudian both finished at 69, with Espiritu taking First Runner-Up. The special-hole awards went to Adones Baluyut for Longest Putt at 10 yards, Paul Co for Nearest to the Pin at 73 inches, Dan Patrick Yang for Longest Drive at 310 yards, and Consuelo Fe Cielo Dumlao for Most Accurate Drive.

John Hay Hotels served as the tournament’s official hotel residence, while the event received support from Boysen, Kuysen, BPI Institutional Banking, Maynilad, Metro Pacific Water, Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation, Maya, and Cignal. The gathering also leads into a season that will put LLV’s coastal destinations in focus, including The Spinnaker in San Juan, The Residences at Terrazas de Punta Fuego in Nasugbu, just to name a few.
Taken together, the weekend showed how LLV’s properties serve as settings not only for leisure but also for gatherings and experiences shared among its guests and partners. The Invitational was a fitting expression of the company’s “A Life on Vacation” philosophy, bringing its approach to hospitality into an event that extended beyond the golf course.
