Laguna police locate man who had been missing for 5 years, reunite him with his family

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna — The Police Regional Office 4A commended the Pangil Municipal Police Station for successfully locating and reuniting with the family an individual who had been reported missing for five years, on Aug. 9.

The responding police led by Maj.Celso Jhune D. Talampas Pangil police, Cpl. Jerome Manzano, and Patrolwoman Rowena Sarambao, were recognized for their efforts. They spearheaded the arrangements and the safe transfer of the individual, known as alias John ,from the town of Cavinti to his family in Santa Rosa City.

Beyond ensuring his safety, the local police also attended to the individual's well-being by providing proper clothing and food before formally reuniting him with his relatives.

Police Brig. Gen Dominic L. Baccay, PRO4A director highlighted the compassionate service demonstrated by the Pangil Municipal Police Station, noting that it goes beyond the mere maintenance of peace and order.

"Your police force is not solely focused on crime suppression and maintaining peace and order, but also on serving and addressing the needs of every citizen to the best of our ability—with love, readiness, and genuine concern for the community," said Baccay.

With the return of every loved one, a family is given renewed hope—proof that the police force is always ready to respond, assist, and serve, he said.
