Goldilocks turns 60 with a gooey new chocolate cake

The Luscious Gooey Choco joins Goldilocks' cake lineup with two layers of chocolate chiffon, milk chocolate fudge frosting and white chocolate chips

Goldilocks is marking its 60th anniversary with a new addition to its Luscious cake lineup, the Luscious Gooey Choco, a two-layer chocolate chiffon cake created for birthdays and other celebrations.
The cake is filled and iced with creamy milk chocolate fudge frosting, then finished with light chocolate buttercream and topped with white chocolate chips arranged on rosettes. The combination is designed to deliver balanced sweetness and a soft, melt-in-your-mouth texture.
So, what makes it "gooey"? The answer is the cake's milky chocolate fudge, which stays soft instead of hardening like regular icing. This gives each slice its rich, melty texture and sets the new cake apart from a more traditional chocolate-frosted cake.
The Luscious Gooey Choco is available at select Goldilocks stores starting Aug. 3, with nationwide availability beginning Aug. 17. In-store prices start at P610, although prices may vary by store and delivery platform.
The anniversary celebration also comes with a new birthday song from Goldilocks. The cheerful jingle encourages families to sing, clap and blow out the candles together, adding another element to the bakeshop's birthday celebrations.
For Goldilocks, which has spent six decades becoming a familiar part of Filipino celebrations, the new cake offers another reason to gather around the birthday table.
