4 dead, 3 recovered alive, 3 still missing in Baguio landslide

BAGUIO CITY – Four persons were declared dead, while three others were rescued alive after a landslide buried three houses in Sitio Riverside, Barangay Guisad Surong in Baguio City on Monday, August 10.

The four fatalities were a 17-year-old female student, a nine-year-old male student; a female student also nine years old and a 56-year-old male.

The three rescued individuals were a male and a female victim, both 27 years old; and a 77-year-old pastor.

Three individuals remain unaccounted for as the Search, Rescue and Retrieval (SRR) operation continues. 

The missing individuals included children aged three and eight.

Responders continue the search and retrieval operation at the landslide site amid intermittent rains.
