San Fernando, Pampanga suspends classes Monday due to severe weather

‎SAN FERNANDO CITY, Pampanga — Face-to-face classes on all levels here are suspended on Monday, Aug. 10, due to severe weather, the city government announced Sunday.
‎Mayor Vilma Balle-Caluag ordered the suspension following PAGASA’s 11 a.m. heavy rainfall warning on Sunday, which placed Pampanga under a red warning level.
‎The City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office said the effects of the enhanced southwest monsoon or "habagat" may continue through Monday.
‎Schools may shift to online learning or other alternative delivery modes to ensure continuity of education.
‎School administrators were asked to consider the situation of learners, particularly those living in flood-prone areas.
‎The city government reported flooding in several areas, with some roads already impassable to light vehicles.
