Missing village watchman found dead

ROXAS, Isabela – A 40-year-old missing barangay watchman was found dead inside a concrete septic tank in a farm in Barangay San Placido here on Friday, Aug. 7.
‎Police said the victim, Allen, was discovered after they received information about his possible whereabouts.
‎Police Major Christian Caoile, chief of the Roxas Municipal Police Station, said responders excavated a portion of the septic tank recently covered with gravel and sand.
‎The victim was found with a nylon rope wrapped around his body.
‎A 45-year-old farm caretaker, Mario, surrendered to police and admitted killing the victim.
‎Police said they were drinking together on Aug. 5, Wednesday, when an argument erupted and turned physical, after which the suspect tied up the victim and dumped him in the septic tank.
‎Mario faces a murder complaint. Motive for the killing remains under investigation.
