Malls in Quezon City opened designated waiting areas for residents needing a temporary place to stay as rains and flooding brought by the enhanced southwest monsoon or habagat continued on Saturday night, Aug. 8.
The participating malls are providing free Wi-Fi, restrooms, charging stations, and help desks to QCitizens using the waiting areas.
The malls are Robinsons Galleria, Robinsons Magnolia, Robinsons Novaliches, SM City Fairview, SM City North EDSA, SM City Sta. Mesa, and SM City Novaliches.
Free overnight parking is also available tonight, Aug. 8, at the participating malls.
Residents who need a temporary place to stay may proceed to the nearest participating mall for their safety.
The Quezon City government reminded QCitizens to remain alert and take necessary precautions amid the continuing rains and flooding.
