Tuaño (Tara Yap)
ILOILO CITY — The Philippine National Police (PNP) has officially designated Police Brig. Gen. Randulf T. Tuaño as full-fledged Police Regional Office-6 (Western Visayas) chief.
PNP chief Police Gen. Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. signed the general order designating Tuano last Aug. 4.
“This designation carries an even greater responsibility to serve, and it inspires us to work even harder. Together, we will continue providing responsive, professional, and people-centered police service for a safer Western Visayas," said Tuaño.
He assumed command of PRO-6 last May 22 in an acting capacity. He replaced Police Brig. Gen. Josefino Ligan.
Tuaño thanked several key officials for his appointment.
Among them were Secretary Jonvic Remulla of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), National Police Commission (Napolcom) Executive Officer Rafael Vicente R. Calinisan, and Nartatez.
Tuaño thanked police units in Aklan, Antique, Capiz, Guimaras, and Iloilo for their unwavering commitment to duty.
