For fans, seeing BINI and SB19 together is still enough to cause a stir.

But for the two biggest names in P-pop, the moment was not as unusual as it looked from the outside.

BINI and SB19 recently crossed paths ahead of their respective performances at Japan’s Summer Sonic Music Festival, taking the opportunity to catch up, hang out and create content together.

The groups were seen doing content featuring their hits “Lawless” and “Step Back” before BINI’s “Signals” concert in Rohnert Park, California.

Colet made it clear that the friendship among P-pop artists is nothing new.

“Hindi naman bago sa amin 'to,” she said as quoted in a report on ABS-CBN News. “Talagang behind the scenes friends naman lahat ng P-pop, amazing lang na dito lahat nagkikita. Very international na talaga, makikita mo na talaga siya kahit saan. Walang makakapigil.”

The unexpected crossover was also a reminder that the rivalry often seen among their fandoms online does not necessarily reflect what happens behind the scenes.

“Minsan kasi yung nangyayari online, it's too much and in reality we're just chill. Like eto, nakikita ninyo we're just chillin' here guys. Chill din kayo diyan!” Aiah said.

SB19’s Stell shared the same sentiment, saying he was simply happy that the two groups finally got to spend time together publicly.

“Ang saya lang po na finally nagsama,” Stell said. “Itong ganitong klaseng bagay, it's something na masaya po siya gawin.”

“Walang war,” Gwen added. “We genuinely support each other.”

Stell agreed, saying there was no real issue between the groups that needed to be settled.

The friendship was further underscored when Stell, Justin and Josh were later spotted watching BINI’s “Signals” concert.

Both groups are headed to Japan for Summer Sonic, where they will take the P-pop scene to an even bigger international stage from August 14 to 16.
