BACOLOD CITY – The Bacolod City Police Office has formed a Special Investigation Task Group (SITG) to probe the killing of an Indian national in Barangay Villamonte here on Tuesday night, Aug. 4.
Police Col. Eugene Rebadomia, Bacolod police director, in a press briefing, said they are conducting backtracking to identify the perpetrators and determine the victim's background.
Rebadomia said the BCPO has launched an intensive hot pursuit and dragnet operations for the arrest of the suspects.
He directed operating units to intensify investigative efforts and pursue all possible leads to identify and apprehend the suspects.
Rebadomia assured the public that all available investigative and operational resources are being utilized to ensure the swift resolution of the case.
The victim was found dead near his motorcycle with a bullet wound to the head. He was on his way home when he was reportedly tailed and attacked by two unidentified men on a motorcycle.
