Polo Ralph Lauren proves that timeless prep and effortless style never truly go out of style

Fashion has a funny way of making us nostalgic. One season, we’re chasing the next big thing. The next, we’re rediscovering the classics we once overlooked. Few brands embody that cycle better today than Ralph Lauren.
For years, the American brand remained a quiet constant in fashion. It’s a fashion label synonymous with Ivy League dressing, country clubs, equestrian heritage, and effortless East Coast elegance. But somewhere between the return of Y2K nostalgia, the rise of “old money” aesthetics, and a renewed appreciation for timeless wardrobes, Ralph Lauren has scored one of fashion's biggest comeback stories.
Suddenly, striped rugby shirts, cable-knit sweaters draped over shoulders, varsity jackets, and embroidered caps were no longer relics of prep-school dressing. They became staples of a generation discovering that great style can be both classic, modern, and fun. Korean pop stars began sporting summer bags. Hollywood celebrities embraced superb tailoring on and off the red carpet. TikTok transformed thrifted quarter zip sweaters into coveted collectibles, while Instagram feeds filled with crisp Oxford shirts.
The revival happened organically as well. And the numbers soon followed. Conversations surrounding Ralph Lauren surged across social media first in 2024, search demand climbed moments later, and today the company returned to the top ranks of fashion’s hottest brands.
Perhaps, what makes Ralph Lauren’s resurgence particularly remarkable is that it hasn’t relied heavily on reinvention. Instead, it has doubled down on the very codes that made the brand iconic.
Its Spring-Summer 2027 menswear presentation during Milan Fashion Week perfectly captured that confidence. The show started with Purple Label delivering refined tailoring fit for front-row celebrities including Tom Hiddleston, Lewis Hamilton, Kim Woo-bin, and Maluma.
Polo Ralph Lauren, the second segment of the show, embraced a lighter, more youthful energy, blending American prep with outdoor finesse. The collection stayed true to the classics while embracing modern styling, particularly through its creative use of neckwear. Edwardian-inspired neck pieces, printed silk scarves, neckties worn as belts, and casually draped scarves all added an effortless charm to looks rooted in timeless dressing. The collection felt deeply rooted in heritage yet unmistakably contemporary.
This philosophy now extends to the brand’s newest address in the country as Polo Ralph Lauren opened its latest boutique at SM Mall of Asia last July 30, 2026. The store, Polo Ralph Lauren's sixth in the Philippines, marks another milestone in the brand's expansion. The moment you step inside the boutique, you’ll immediately feel and see the house codes. Warm timber finishes, burnished brass, aged leather, and vintage-inspired furnishings create an atmosphere reminiscent of New York townhouses with subtle references to the American Southwest.
Inside are the pieces I’d want to put in my wardrobe today: Polo Bear sweatshirts, crisp striped long sleeves, leather belts with brass plate buckles, and even, the newly released Blaze Large Shoulder Bag, whose understated silhouette feels perfectly suited to today’s quieter approach to luxury.
In staying true to its heritage, the brand has perhaps found its greatest strength, proving that great style never truly goes out of fashion. Sometimes, all it takes is a new generation to rediscover the classics.
