Veteran comedian Dagul, 66, real name Romeo "Romy" Pastrana, is reaching out to his former “Goin’ Bulilit” co-stars for acting opportunities as he continues to recover from health issues and provide for his family.
In his interview with Susan Enriquez’s “Kay Susan Tayo! Vlogs,” Dagul recalled his time on the award-winning children’s gag show, where he worked with young stars who have since become among biggest names in Philippine entertainment, including Kathryn Bernardo, Julia Montes, Belle Mariano, and Kiray Celis.
Sana mapansin niyo ako kung may maitutulong man kayong project.
Dagul maintained his health has improved a lot since last year, when he was often hospitalized.
Dagul thanked his friends, including Benjie Paras, Long Mejia, and former senator Manny Pacquiao, for helping him financially over the years. However, he said his medical expenses remain difficult to manage.
After "Goin’ Bulilit" ended its 14-year run in 2019, Dagul appeared less often on television. In 2022, he came out to share that he was working at the barangay hall in Montalban, Rizal, as head of the command center.
