Biazon lauds construction of Women and Children's Crisis Center in Alabang
Muntinlupa Mayor Ruffy Biazon commended the construction of the country’s first Women and Children’s Crisis Center in Alabang.
The Women and Children’s Crisis Center will be a national level shelter that will provide safe protection, medical and psychological care, legal assistance, counseling, and skills training to women and children who are survivors of abuse and violence.
The project is under the Association of Women Legislators Foundation Inc. (AWLFI), Congressional Spouses Foundation Inc. (CSFI), Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and the Department of Health (DOH), and led by Pangasinan 4th District Rep. Gina de Venecia.
Biazon said the center will be an addition to other facilities in Muntinlupa that help women and children, including the SAGIP Center, Bahay Pagasa and Bahay Kanlungan.
“So we would really appreciate the establishment of this institution because it adds to what we believe is a core value of Muntinlupa–that is to care for those in need in society,” the mayor said.
