All four members of K-pop girl group BLACKPINK will attend a meet-and-greet event marking the group's 10th debut anniversary, YG Entertainment confirmed Thursday, following speculation over the participation of some members.
In a statement released on Aug. 7, YG Entertainment said, "After checking with the label, it has been confirmed that all four members of BLACKPINK will ultimately attend the 10th debut anniversary Meet & Greet."
The announcement comes after fans criticized the agency for what they viewed as the lack of large-scale activities to commemorate the milestone. The anniversary event is limited to just 40 fans, prompting disappointment among many supporters who had expected a broader celebration.
The confirmation also follows speculation surrounding Rosé's attendance. Her management agency, The Black Label, issued a separate statement denying what it described as inaccurate reports and unverified speculation about her participation.
The agency said Rosé's schedule had been coordinated well in advance to ensure she could attend the anniversary event.
"Being present for this occasion has long been set as her top priority and prepared for accordingly," The Black Label said.
It also urged the public to refrain from spreading unverified claims, saying speculation based on inaccurate information could be hurtful to both Rosé and BLACKPINK's fans.
Meanwhile, Jennie, Jisoo, Rosé and Lisa marked the group’s 10th debut anniversary by sharing heartfelt messages with fans.
“Time has flown by, and it has already been 10 years since my debut with BLACKPINK. I feel like this anniversary is a day filled with a deep sense of regret,” Jisoo wrote.
She added that she had always wanted to show her best side and bring happiness to fans, saying it was difficult to see many BLINKs upset.
“Thank you for congratulating us, and I am sorry once again for causing you such great disappointment,” she said.
Jennie, meanwhile, took to Instagram to thank fans for standing by her throughout the past decade.
“It’s hard to believe it’s already been ten years,” she wrote, adding that because of BLINKs, she had been able to “live out so many dreams.”
Rosé reflected on growing alongside her bandmates, recalling her journey from age 19 to 29.
“I have learnt and grown so much amongst these girls along with the love all you blinks have shown me,” she wrote, describing herself as “forever grateful” for the memories they have shared.
Lisa also thanked BLINKs for staying with her through both happy and difficult moments.
“It has already been 10 years. I was able to come this far because BLINKs were there,” she said. “I sincerely thank and love you for always being with me for this long period of 10 years.”
