Payments network elects 2026-2027 board of directors
Stockholders of Payments Network of the Philippines, Inc. elected the 15 members of their Board of Directors for the term 2026-2027 during a special stockholders’ meeting at Makati Shangri-La on Thursday, July 30, 2026. Elected were Reynaldo C. Burgos, representing PNB; Reginaldo Anthony B. Cariaso, representing RCBC; Grace Ofelia Lovely V. Dayo, representing Land Bank; Michael O. De Jesus, representing DBP, Fabian S. Dee, representing Metrobank; Ana Maria A. Delgado, representing Union Bank; Meng Teck Victor Lee, representing Security Bank; Alexander G. Seminiano, representing BPI; Manuel C. Tagaza, representing Chinabank; and Nestor V. Tan, representing BDO. Also elected were independent directors Benjamin P. Castillo, Pedro M. Florescio III, Criselda B. Santillan, Jose Rene D. Villa-Real, and Aristeo P. Zafra, Jr.
In the Board’s organizational meeting that followed, the directors unanimously elected Nestor V. Tan as chairman, Fabian S. Dee as president, and Reginaldo Anthony B. Cariaso as treasurer for the term 2026-2027.
Payments Network of the Philippines, Inc. is the surviving corporation integrating the operations of BancNet, Inc. and Philippine Clearing House Corporation (PCHC), following the historic approval of their merger by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), the Philippine Competition Commission (PCC), and Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) that took effect on June 1, 2026. Payments Network of the Philippines now operates InstaPay and PESOnet, both designated by the BSP as Prominently Important Payment Systems, and Payment vs Payment (PvP) and Philippine Domestic Dollar Transfer System (PDDTS), both BSP- designated as Systematically Important Payment Systems. Other equally significant electronic payment services such as the ATM, Point-of-Sale, check clearing, and direct debit, as well as other electronic payment facilities have also been integrated under one payment network.
In the same meeting, the following corporate officers were appointed for the 2026-2027 term: Elmarie S. Reyes, CEO; Emmanuel E. Barcena, COO for PCH Operations; Agnes H. Maranan, Corporate Secretary; Maricelle P. Austria, Head of Human Resources and Administration; Linley V. Julian, Head of Technology and Communications Management for PCH Operations; Jennie F. Lansang, Chief information Officer; Arnel G. Lim, Chief Audit Executive; Myra S. Privado, Head of Software Testing and Certification; Mabelyn Tagasa, Deputy Chief Information Officer; Roel Dennis S. Tan, Chief Risk and Compliance Officer; Roseanne T. Tan, Head of Business and Relationship Management; and Jonalyn V. Villasin, Head of Finance and Accounting.
