Kim Soo-hyun's Manila fan meet: What fans need to know

Korean actor Kim Soo-hyun is set to meet Filipino fans in Manila Oct. 2 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

Philippine clothing brand Bench announced the event on social media.

"The countdown begins! Kim Soo Hyun is coming to meet his Filipino fans very soon," the brand posted.

"We prepared this fan meeting to present an unforgettable time to the Filipino fans who have loved Kim Soo-hyun for a long time. We will do our best to ensure that the actor and fans can create special memories together," it added.

The Manila event comes after Kim Soo-hyun resumed public activities in July.

The actor had stepped away from the spotlight amid controversy involving the late actress Kim Sae-ron.

More recently, the Seongdong Police Station in Seoul decided not to forward to prosecutors allegations that Kim Soo-hyun violated South Korea's Child Welfare Act after finding no evidence to support the claims.
