Last Thursday at the Isla Ballroom of Shangri-La EDSA , showbiz basically threw its own version of a star-studded reunion — except this time, everyone was dripping in diamonds.

Welcome to the Maddox Iconic Runway: Diamond Jewelry Fashion Show 2026.

This is probably the biggest celebrity jewelry fashion show in Asia this year because 39 famous faces took turns strutting the catwalk like it was one giant awards night, minus the trophies, plus a whole lot of bling.

Behind it all is Charo Cordial, CEO and president of Maddox — a former live-seller of preloved bags during the pandemic who leveled up into the queen of affordable natural diamonds.

Talk about a glow-up story!

From hustling online to headlining a red-carpet runway, that’s what I call manifestation done right.

I was able to interview the self-made woman while we were rehearsing since I was part of the 39 celebrities. I asked her why “affordable diamonds”? The luxury queen answered, “From the very beginning, I believed that luxury should never be out of reach, because confidence is not defined by status, age, or background.”

The night was split into four star-packed batches. First up: Ryza Cenon, Diego Loyzaga, Sheree, Kris Bernal, Edgar Allan Guzman, Polo Ravales, Pancho Magno and Negi, joined by longtime power couple Aubrey Miles and Troy Montero.

Next came a batch stacked with Katrina Halili, Diana Zubiri, Katya Santos, James Blanco, Nadine Samonte, Daiana Menezes, Geneva Cruz, and, yes, yours truly— basically a highlight reel of Philippine showbiz across generations.

In our group it was Ara Mina who was the showstopper.

Regine Tolentino danced her heart away before owning the catwalk. Hmmm, maybe if invited next year Geneva Cruz and I can sing before strutting like supermodels, haha!

The real “kilig” moment of the night? AJ Raval and Aljur Abrenica walking the runway together for the very first time as a couple.

AJ couldn’t hide her emotions afterward, admitting it had been a dream of hers, calling herself “confident but nervous” all at once. As a sweet bonus, AJ’s dad, action star Jeric Raval, also graced the runway as part of the “Icons of Timelessness” group — alongside Roderick Paulate, Carmi Martin (who even broke into a dance), and siblings Eric and Epy Quizon - a whole family affair, shining together.

Alma Concepcion, Ynez Veneracion, Maureen Larazabal, Amy Austria, Yayo Aguila, Jackie Lou Blanco, Dj Durano, Gardo Verzosa, and Gary Estrada also joined the Timelessness group.

Together in the same group was comedian Pokwang, who had me laughing when a young male model took her hand onstage and, instead of giving it a kiss, placed it on his forehead in the traditional Filipino gesture of "mano po" to show respect for elders. Instead of acting surprised, Pokwang responded by making the sign of the cross over him, just as a grandmother, or lola, would. It was my personal highlight of the night.

Beauty Gonzales also shone bright like a diamond at the event.

Claudine Barretto turned heads, still riding high off the buzz from her much-talked-about scene with Pepe Herrera during the “Home Along Da Riles: Da Reunion” promo. I asked her about it backstage and she told me, “Hello it was scripted! Hahaha! We wanted to show good old showbiz chemistry.”

I then asked her about her feelings before the final fashion show. “I must admit I am genuinely nervous walking the runway, it’s easier to act,“ the Optimum Star admits to Gossip Girl.

Beyond the glitz, there’s real heart behind the celebrity list.

According to Charo, “I chose the celebrities not only for their star power — they’re genuine, longtime clients who can personally vouch for the brand’s quality. So it wasn’t just about who shone the brightest. It was about credibility with sparkle.”
