Apple Pay finally arrives in Philippines

Filipino Apple users and online communities reported since Monday night, Aug. 3, that Apple Pay has begun rolling out in the Philippines, with many sharing screenshots showing they had successfully added eligible payment cards to the Wallet app and completed their first contactless transactions.

Online discussions across technology and finance forums described the launch as long-awaited, with users saying they could now use Apple Pay for in-store, in-app, and online purchases using compatible Apple devices.
The rollout appears to be taking place gradually, with users reporting that support varies depending on their card issuer, while more banks are expected to join in the coming days.
