Apple David, Chad Gammad Spider-Man date triggers 'Peter Parker and Aunt May' jokes

33-year old courtside reporter/content creator Apple David and her 18-year old boyfriend, Letran basketball player Chad Gammad, are hot topic on social media anee after they shared photos of them at a screening of Marvel Studios' "Spider-Man: Brand New Day."

Netizens flooded the comments with memes comparing the pair to Peter Parker and Aunt May, poking fun at the couple's 15-year age gap.

The photos quickly spread across social media, with users joking that the outing looked like "Peter Parker taking Aunt May on a date," while others created Spider-Man-themed memes inspired by the couple.

The viral reactions come just weeks after David publicly confirmed her relationship with Gammad through a TikTok video featuring clips of their time together, from basketball games and gym workouts to golf dates and other adventures.

Since going public, the romance has drawn mixed reactions online, with some supporting the couple while others continue to question their age difference.

David has repeatedly addressed the criticism with humor. In one video, she revealed that she and Chad call each other "Baby," joking about comments claiming their relationship resembles that of a mother and child.

"'Baby' ang tawagan namin," she said, adding that Chad even gets upset when she calls him by his first name instead of their pet name, even around his coaches and teammates.

Despite acknowledging that dating someone significantly younger comes with challenges, David previously described the relationship as "risky" and appealed to the public to let them figure things out on their own.
