Senate Impeachment Court OKs 2 banks request for more time to submit VP Sara's records

Both banks appealed for an extension, citing the volume of financial records they have to submit.
Sen. Francis “Chiz” Escudero, presiding officer of the Impeachment Court, gave both banks until August 13 to complete the records and submit documents they have yet to produce.
Last July 30, 2026, BDO Unibank and Security Bank, along with PSBank, Metropolitan Bank and Trust Company (Metrobank), LandBank of the Philippines (Landbank) and Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) complied with the Court’s order to submit Duterte, her husband Mans Carpio, and 20 other related entitites’ financial records.
“BDO requested additional time to retrieve, compile, produce and submit item no. 3 in the subpoena, namely all account transactions, ledgers, journals, etc. and transaction logs. Security Bank manifested that due to the volume, it was unable to complete the printing of documents pertaining to two of the 20 entities, namely GenCorp Industries and Kalye Foods 88,” Escudero said before closing Day 11 of the trial. 
Escudero also ordered both banks and to provide certified copies and flash drives containing the document, to give all parties equal opportunity to review, study, and photocopy the documents.
