LinkedIn rolls out tools to determine AI-generated content on its platform
LinkedIn, a Microsoft-owned professional platform, has announced that its members will be able to flag posts that "seems like AI."
This seems to fall in line with online platforms developing ways on detecting AI-generated material. Substack is one, through a partnership with Pangram, which will help readers spot if something may have been generated by AI.
The problem is much bigger than it seems. Cloudflare mentions that bot-driven traffic has overtaken human traffic on the web, which is basically pointing out that the Dead Internet Theory is probably true, and if not yet, it's very close.
LinkedIn also has plans to notify users if they rely too much on AI. The idea behind this is to encourage users to improve their writing.
Along with this, "enhance your post" LinkedIn's tool that lets AI rewrite users' posts is being removed. In its place will be proofreading tool. Page verification and options to block commends will also be included.
