Classes, number coding cancelled in Baguio on Aug. 4 due to 'Luis'
BAGUIO CITY – Mayor Benjamin Magalong suspended classes here on Tuesday, Aug. 4, due to bad weather from tropical depression ‘’Luis.’’
Magalong issued Executive Order No. 105-2026 cancelling classes, including the number coding scheme, to allow vehicles to be used in emergencies.
He said continued rain and strong winds threaten landslides, falling trees, slippery road conditions, reduced visibility and other weather-related hazards that endanger the safety of the public.
Magalong encouraged schools to implement alternative delivery methods to ensure continuity of learning.
Classes from pre-school to Grade 12 in this city were suspended on Monday afternoon, Aug. 3, due to heavy rain and strong winds from Luis.
