Visayan performers bag medals in WCOPA

ILOILO CITY – The Philippine delegation from the Visayas bagged multiple medals at the recent World Championships of Performing Arts (WCOPA) 2026 in the United States.

They pocketed gold, silver, and bronze medals during the global finals in Las Vegas, Nevada last month.

“To every delegate, whether you brought home an award or simply carried our flag with pride, you are all champions in our hearts. Thank you for giving your very best and for making Visayas and the Philippines proud!” the WCOPA-Visayas said.

WCOPA is a global contest with performers from over 70 countries in acting, dance, music, variety arts, and modeling.

The five delegates from Capiz are Megan Andrada, Bradlee Andrada, Andrea Glace Calanza, John Heroza, and Dorcel John Tumlos.

Iloilo delegates were Eureka Nathalie Gascon, Ralf Torilla, Alger John Carnate, Beatrix Louise Balairos, and Roi Yisrael Lorilla.

The four Aklan delegates are Leiam Travvy Villaruel, Jad Nikkolette Ladrido, Trisha Ileto, and Jade Edward Duran. From Cebu are Thor Sirius Comission, Nephi Acaling, and Mikaela Rose Amagsila. The lone delegate from Negros is Lamberto Libunao Jr.

WCOPA Philippines is conducting auditions in the Visayas for next year’s edition at SM City Iloilo on Aug. 15.
