Maynilad septic tank cleanup to cover selected Manila barangays in August

Maynilad Water Services, Inc. will deploy desludging trucks to selected barangays in Manila this August as part of its ongoing septic tank cleaning program.

Areas included in the August schedule are Port Area, Quiapo, San Miguel, San Nicolas, Sta. Cruz, and Sta. Mesa.

In an advisory, the company urged residents to check whether their barangay is included in the scheduled route through announcements on Maynilad’s official website and social media pages, as well as through coordination with their respective barangay offices.

Maynilad said households qualify for the service if their septic tanks have not been desludged by the company within the last five years.

For barangays included in the schedule, residents do not need to book an appointment as desludging teams will conduct house-to-house operations.

Meanwhile, customers whose areas are not part of the August rollout but are due for septic tank cleaning may request the service by calling Hotline 1626 or by filling out an online request form: Maynilad desludging request form. Schedules will be confirmed after processing.

Maynilad said it will strictly follow its monthly barangay schedule and reminded residents to take advantage of the service once it reaches their communities.

The company added that the desludging program is part of its sanitation efforts and is already covered under customers’ regular water service fees.
