Chinese national arrested for road rage in BGC

Taguig police arrested a 28-year-old Chinese national for shouting offensive and insulting remarks at a driver and passenger in Bonifacio Global City (BGC) on July 31.
Police identified the suspect as alias Xiangjie, 28, a Chinese national, key account specialist, and resident of a condominium in BGC.
The incident occurred at around 6:30 p.m. at the intersection of 11th Avenue and 39th Street.
The suspect, who was riding a bicycle, abruptly stopped before a pedestrian lane, forcing the driver of an SUV behind him to brake suddenly to avoid a collision.
He then alighted from his bicycle, approached the right front passenger side of the vehicle, repeatedly banged on its roof, and shouted at the driver and passenger.
The suspect also made an obscene hand gesture toward the victims before BGC marshals and police personnel intervened.
He was brought to the Taguig-Pateros District Hospital for mandatory physical and medical examination.
Police later turned him over to the Station Investigation and Detection Management Section for investigation and the filing of charges for unjust vexation under Article 287 of the Revised Penal Code.
Brig. Gen. Glenn Oliver Cinco, Southern Police District director, commended the swift response of the officers and marshals.
