The Malabon City government has advised residents to prepare for possible low water pressure or temporary changes in supply due to the continued effects of El Niño and the low water level at Angat Dam.
The advisory was based on a notice from Maynilad Water Services, Inc., which said it is managing available supply across its service areas and implementing measures to reduce the impact on customers.
The city government urged residents to use water responsibly while supply conditions remain affected.
Residents were advised to repair leaking faucets and pipes immediately, reuse water when possible, turn off faucets when not in use, collect safe rainwater for watering plants and cleaning, and store only enough water for their needs.
Maynilad said it will issue official advisories if service adjustments become necessary. These will include the specific areas that may be affected and the schedule of any possible changes.
