Veteran actor and television host Anjo Yllana has expressed deep remorse over the controversial remarks he made against Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto and Joey de Leon, revealing that even his own children called him out for what he said.

Speaking to members of the entertainment press, Anjo admitted he made a mistake by allowing his emotions to get the better of him, saying the ordeal has become one of the biggest lessons of his more than four decades in show business.

His statement comes after the Mandaluyong City Regional Trial Court Branch 279 found him liable in the case filed by TVJ Productions over allegedly defamatory remarks he made against the iconic trio and other "Eat Bulaga" hosts. The court ordered him to pay P3.5 million in damages.

Anjo said he has already taken responsibility for his actions and publicly apologized to TVJ, stressing that what matters most to him now is not the court ruling or the financial penalty, but the possibility of repairing the friendship he once shared with them.

"I made a public apology. I said sorry. I am very vocal na mahal ko sila. I admitted I made a mistake," he said.

The actor admitted that his comments were fueled by pent-up emotions and resentment, something he now realizes he should have handled differently.

"I learned from my mistakes. The important thing is that I realized what I did was wrong," he said.

According to Anjo, the emotional fallout has been far more difficult than the legal battle.

"What hurts me more is knowing that there are people I love who may still be angry with me," he said.

Although he has not personally reached out to TVJ beyond his public apology, Anjo explained that he does not want to force a reconciliation before emotions have settled.

"I was hoping I'd see them in court so I could personally say hello and apologize," he shared. "But maybe the wounds haven't healed yet. I think only time can fix that."
