PRC, HANN Foundation bring life-saving blood services closer to Pinoys

Access to lifesaving blood donation services was further expanded with the donation of a fully equipped Mobile Blood Donation Vehicle by the HANN Foundation Inc. (HFI) to the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) Pampanga–Angeles City Chapter.
Philippine Red Cross Chairman and CEO Richard J. Gordon said the donation will help bring safe blood closer to more Filipino communities, adding that the new vehicle strengthens the organization's goal of ensuring that safe blood is available to every Filipino who needs it.
"HANN Foundation is giving people greater access to practice their humanitarianism. By bringing blood donation closer to communities, it becomes easier for more Filipinos to donate and help save lives,” said Gordon.
“When every Filipino needs blood, we must be able to provide it—from Aparri to Jolo. No one should be turned away," he added.
The turnover, held at The Club at Hann Reserve in New Clark City on Tuesday, July 28, marks 10 years of partnership between HANN Foundation and the PRC.
After a decade of supporting annual blood donation drives, the partnership has expanded with the donation of a mobile blood donation vehicle, reinforcing both organizations' shared commitment to saving lives through voluntary blood donation.

The donation increases the PRC's fleet to six mobile blood donation vehicles nationwide.
The fleet is now stationed at the PRC National Headquarters, Quezon City Chapter, Rizal Chapter, Iloilo Chapter (two units), and the Pampanga–Angeles City Chapter, enabling the organization to reach schools, workplaces, local government units, and underserved communities more efficiently across the country.


HANN Foundation Executive Director Ana Christie Galura said the donation reflects the Foundation's continued commitment to its partnership with the PRC and its mission of saving more lives.
"We forge our relationship anew with the donation of this mobile blood donation vehicle. It will go a long way in advancing not only our Health pillar by helping save more lives, but also education by promoting voluntary blood donation and inspiring more people to become lifesavers," Galura said.
PRC Secretary General Dr. Gwendolyn Pang thanked HANN Foundation for its continued trust and support.
"We thank the HANN Foundation for this wonderful gift. It will further strengthen our capability of giving the gift of life. Be assured of our continued commitment, and we look forward to strengthening and deepening our partnership with HANN Foundation," Pang said.
