Jerald Napoles on his friendship with Pepe Herrera: 'Available kami para isa't-isa'

From them both playing alternates of Tolits in the hit musical "The Rak of Aegis," Jerald Napoles and Pepe Herrera have forged a strong bond that exists to this day.
During the media conference for their upcoming film, "Ang Pinakamasarap Na Pares Sa Balat Ng Lupa", Jerald opened up about the frienship he shares with Pepe.
"Ang gusto ko sa friendship namin is available kami sa isa't-isa, in times na hindi mo hinahanap sakto nandiyan siya," Jerald said.
Their shared theater background adds to their camaraderie.
"Pinapahalagahan po namin ni Pepe na iilan lang po kami na galing sa teatro na naka-tawid sa industriya ng showbiz," he added.

Despite their busy schedules, Jerald and Pepe make sure to always keep in touch.
"Sa dami po ng artista sa showbiz, hindi naman po lahat magiging kaibigan mo. So parang gusto namin mapapanatili yung relationship, kasi bihira yung kaibigan mo na nga, makakatrabaho ma pa," Jerald added.
Meanwhile, Pepe related that sharing  heart-to-heart moments with Jerald makes their frienship even more special.
"Si Je marami na siyang narinig na kwentong pag-ibig sa akin na hindi ko kayang ikwento sa iba, dahil ayoko na maapektuhan ang ibang tao. Pero ayun, ganon kalalalim yung pagkakaibigan namin," Pepe shared.
After starring in the 2025 comedy film “Sampung Utos Kay Josh," Jerald and Pepe will reunite in "Ang Pinakamasarap Na Pares Sa Balat Ng Lupa," as directed by Raynier F. Brizuela. It follows Don (Herrera), who learns he has only 24 hours left to live after receiving a grim diagnosis.
With little time left, Don sets out on one last journey to find the world's best bowl of pares, inspired by a viral vlog and the memory of his late grandmother.
He is joined by his best friend, Mola, played by Napoles.
What starts as a simple food trip soon turns into a wild adventure as a corrupt doctor chases Don to acquire his healthy liver.
The film also stars Christine Bermas, Gene Padilla, Yanyan De Jesus, TJ Valderrama, Kedebon Colim, Jobelyn Manuel, James Caraan, and Nonong Ballinan.
