BYD Cars Philippines aims to make going electric even more accessible with the launch of two key models, the all-new Atto 2 and the new Seal 5. Both models are designed to make battery electric and plug-in hybrid technology more accessible.
All-new Atto 2
The all-new Atto 2 is a practical and affordable SUV built to lower the traditional barriers to electrified mobility and encourage more Filipinos to make the switch. It features two distinct powertrain options: a full battery electric vehicle (BEV) propulsion or with BYD’s Super DM-i plug-in hybrid system (PHEV).
Atto 2 EV
The EV variant delivers up to 380-km of pure electric range. The DM-i comes in Dynamic and Premium variants with an electric-only range of up to 45 km and a combined range of 1,340 km based on an efficiency run by BYD Cars Philippines in partnership with the Automobile Association of the Philippines (AAP).
The EV variant features a 12.8-inch intuitive touchscreen as well as smartphone connectivity to keep drivers connected. It also has Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability, allowing drivers to plug in and power external electronics, appliances, and equipment directly from the vehicle, turning the Atto 2 into a mobile power bank for road trips, outdoor activities or emergency situations.
Atto 2 DM-i
The Atto 2 DM-i Premium comes with a comprehensive suite of comfort and convenience features, being the only variant equipped with DiPilot ADAS. Inside, both models come with a 10.1-inch display as well as smartphone connectivity.
At the heart of every Atto 2 variant is the BYD Blade Battery that promises exceptional durability, thermal stability, and long-term reliability. Each unit purchased will be inclusive of an eight-year Drive Unit warranty, a six-year or 160,000 km bumper-to-bumper warranty package and an eight-year or 160,000 km for the BYD Blade battery.
BYD has also made the Atto 2 models easy to keep in the long term with a highly competitive total cost of ownership, backed by a convenient once-a-year maintenance schedule.
From July 28 to August 31, 2026, all variants of the BYD Atto 2 will be P50,0000 off and have special offers available alongside enticing financing promos with BPI. Starting September 1, 2026, the official SRPs of the BYD Atto 2 will be P1,048,000 for the Atto 2 DM-i Dynamic; P1,258,000 for the Atto 2 DM-i Premium; and P1,338,000 for the Atto 2 EV.
Seal 5 DM-i
The new Seal 5 DM-i, meanwhile, builds on the success of the Seal 5 in 2024. This new facelifted model is designed to make plug-in hybrid technology more accessible. The new model is new powered by BYD's latest fifth-generation Super DM-i plug-in hybrid technology, greatly improving its efficiency.
The new Seal 5 DM-i achieved a combined driving range of up to 2,181 km during an efficiency run conducted in partnership with the Automobile Association Philippines (AAP).
The Essential variant offers up to 55-km of electric range from its 7.42 kWh Blade Battery, while the Dynamic variant extends electric range to 115-km with a larger 18.3 kWh Blade Battery, enabling many drivers to complete most daily trips using electric power before the hybrid system seamlessly takes over.
Inside, the car returns a comfortable and connected driving experience. Drivers are greeted by an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, automatic climate control with rear air vents, multiple USB charging ports, and a spacious 522-liter trunk and a maximum cargo space of 1,295-liters with folded rear seats to easily accommodate both everyday essentials and business cargo.
The Seal 5 DM-i also comes equipped with a comprehensive suite of safety features, including Cruise Control, Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), rear parking sensors, Vehicle Dynamic Control, Hill Hold Control, Automatic Vehicle Hold, and multiple airbags, providing added confidence on every journey.
The Sesal 5 DM-I is offered in two variants, the Seal 5 DM-i Dynamic and Seal 5 DM-I Essential. Both variants will have a P50,000-off special introductory price from July 28 to August 31, 2026. Beginning September 1, official SRPs of P948,000 for the Essential and P1,048,000 for the Dynamic will apply.
All variants come inclusive of an eight-year Drive Unit warranty, a six-year or 160,000 km bumper-to-bumper warranty package and an eight-year or 160,000 km for the BYD Blade battery.
Financing packages are also available with BPI making the switch to electrified mobility easier for both individual buyers and businesses looking to modernize their fleets.
Interested customers can see both vehicles in the metal, and even arrange a test drive at the BYD Tech Tour at the Trinoma Activity Center from July 28 to August 2.
