Vengeful Team Falcons shows Vitality the door to reach MSC semis

Marco “Super Marco” Requitano dazzled on the surprise Hanabi pick as the vengeful Team Falcons PH showed Team Vitality the door with a 3-1 victory in the quarterfinals of the 2026 Mid-Season Cup at the Esports World Cup in Paris, France on Wednesday, July 29.

The star gold laner lived up to his moniker “The Bulletproof” and was almost untouchable while dealing massive damages to steer Team Falcons to the series clinching Game 4 win.

The victory was also a payback of sorts after the Indonesian champions dropped the Filipino crew to the lower bracket of Group A.

Banking on the crowd control immunity of Hanabi, Super Marco spearheaded the relentless pressure from Team Falcons and dominated the team fights — none bigger than the 13th minute Lord dance where the Filipinos took out four heroes from Team Vitality.

Super Marco finished with a 4-1-5 line on the Hanabi while Kyle “Kyle” Sayson also impressed with a 6-1-2 line on the Fanny pick. Team Falcons, which led by as many as 10k golds, ended the series with a 12-5 kill count in Game 4.

The series was actually still hanging in the balance after the two squads traded victories in the first two games before Salic “Hadji” Imam took over Game 3 with his signature Pharsa pick.

Hadji put together a neat 4-0-7 KDA as he provided the counter-punish to Team Vitality’s hero composition that was heavily reliant on engaging heroes like Khufra and Barats.

Super Marco provided the extra damage with a 3-1-5 line on the Karrie while Rowgien “Owgwen” Unigo and David “Flap” Canon were sturdy on the frontline with their Belerick and Lapu-Lapu picks.

With the win, Team Falcons is facing Yangon Galacticos of Myanmar which earlier defeated Pro Esports with a 3-0 win,
