Metro Manila, several Luzon areas to experience rainy weather as LPA traverses landmass

A low-pressure area (LPA) off the coast of Albay may bring scattered rains and thunderstorms over parts of Luzon within the next 24 hours, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said on Wednesday, July 29.
PAGASA weather specialist Chenel Dominguez said the LPA, last located over the coastal waters of Rapu-Rapu, Albay, is not expected to develop into a tropical cyclone while inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).
However, the weather disturbance is expected to traverse the landmass and bring scattered rains and thunderstorms over Metro Manila, Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon, Central Luzon, Bicol Region, Oriental Mindoro, Occidental Mindoro, Romblon, and Marinduque.
Meanwhile, the easterlies or warm winds from the Pacific Ocean may bring cloudy skies, scattered rains, and thunderstorms over Cagayan and Isabela.
The rest of the country will generally experience fair weather, although isolated rain showers or thunderstorms may still occur.
PAGASA warned of possible flash floods or landslides, especially in areas vulnerable to these hazards.
