Sandoval announced the release of the third tranche of financial assistance under the program during her fourth State of the City Address (SOCA) at the Malabon Sports Center on Wednesday, July 29.
According to the city’s Public Information Office, the latest tranche will benefit 93,677 qualified households across the city.
“Ang programang ito ay isa sa ating mga paraan para mas mailapit ang mga serbisyo ng pamahalaan sa ating mga kababayang Malabueño. Mga serbisyo at inisyatibong totoo, napapanahon, transparent, at nararamdaman,” she said.
She added that the program also helps inform residents about the different programs, projects, and services being implemented by the local government for the welfare of the community.
The city government said qualified beneficiaries may claim their cash assistance through any BancNet-powered ATM or at any Universal Storefront Services Corporation branch nationwide starting 5 p.m. on July 29 until 11:59 p.m. on Aug. 31.
Beneficiaries will receive a text message from USSC once their assistance is available.
It added that beneficiaries may also check the official Malabon Ahon Blue Card Facebook page to verify if they are included in the list of qualified recipients.
Aside from financial assistance, the card may also be used as a debit card for purchases of medicines, groceries, school supplies, and other basic needs at accredited establishments.
The MABC team said 89,766 beneficiaries were able to claim their assistance during the second tranche released in April.
City Administrator Dr. Alexander Rosete said the city wants every household to feel that there is a local government ready to help them with their everyday needs.
The local government reminded residents to keep their cards in good condition and report concerns such as forgotten PIN codes, changes in mobile numbers, password issues, or lost cards to the MABC team.
The MABC was launched in 2022, and it has expanded to include burial and hospitalization assistance, MABC para sa Kababaihan, the Eskwela Savings Program, MABC for working students, and Diskwento program.
For inquiries, residents may contact the MABC team at 0967-137-2561 or 0962-553-3610, or USSC at (02) 8928-8772 or 0917-180-8772.
