Pasig barangay appeals for donations after 3rd-alarm fire

Barangay Kapitolyo in Pasig City has appealed to the public for donations of any kind for the victims of a fire that reached the third alarm along Rosemarie Lane on Wednesday afternoon, July 29.
While there is still no official report on the exact number of affected families and houses, several families are currently evacuated at the Kapitolyo Amphitheatre.
According to TXTFIRE Philippines, the fire started at 2:01 p.m. and reached the second alarm at 2:09 p.m.
The fire was raised to the third alarm at 2:36 p.m. before it was declared under control at around 5:45 p.m.
The fire was extinguished at 10:21 p.m., the Pasig City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (Pasig DRRMO) said.
Donations such as used clothes in good condition, ready-to-eat food, drinking water, blankets, mats, pillows, and hygiene kits (soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, sanitary napkins, and other essentials), as well as milk, diapers, and other baby needs, may be brought to the Barangay Kapitolyo Function Hall.
Meanwhile, the barangay urged residents of Interior Rosemarie Lane to evacuate and proceed to the Kapitolyo Amphitheatre to ensure their safety and address their immediate needs.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
