Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson said on Wednesday, July 29 said all “delicious” details behind the anomalous infrastructure projects in Taguig City will be disclosed at the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee’s hearings on the matter.
This, after Lacson turned over the evidence of the anomalous infrastructure projects to the Office of the Ombudsman last Tuesday, saying the details will delve into at least five case studies he and his team conducted.
Taguig is the political bailiwick of Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano.
"'Malicious pero delicious' - bumigay na yata. Kung anu-ano na pinagsasabi (Malicious but delicious—he seems to be giving in. He’s saying all sorts of things now),” Lacson said in a post on X.
"The public may partake of the 'delicious' part if they watch the Blue Ribbon Committee hearings where the details of the truth behind the 5 Taguig case studies that we submitted to the Ombudsman," he further said.
Lacson was referring to Cayetano's remark describing his exposé on the Taguig infrastructure projects as "malicious," prompting him to quip about the "delicious" details that would be presented during the hearings.
On Tuesday, Lacson said the evidence they have gathered so far has been given to the Office of the Ombudsman, and may be sufficient to support cases for plunder, malversation, and violations of the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act.
Lacson described the anomalies in Taguig City as “something else” compared to previous case studies in Bulacan saying they involved “old and new tricks.”According to Lacson, Taguig accumulated P14.4-billion worth of infrastructure projects from 2020 to 2025 alone—“and still counting.”
He, however, pointed out that while he and his team will continue to dig more evidence they can secure later on and submit these to the Ombudsman, this does not preclude any action the Blue Ribbon Committee may take.
Sen. Erwin Tulfo currently heads the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee.
"It doesn’t preclude any action that the BRC may take in the course of the committee’s investigation of the flood control anomalies, depending on the chairman and the members’ appreciation," he said.
