Willie Ong shares update on cancer battle

Cardiologist and internet personality Doc Willie Ong recently gave his followers an update on his ongoing cancer battle.
In an Instagram post, he revealed that he continues to follow the treatment plan prescribed by his medical team.
"Kamusta sa lahat ng mahal kong Followers. Stable ang condition ko (Sarcoma stage 4), tinutuloy ko ang maintenance na gamutan sa akin na Immunotherapy at Targeted Therapy," he said in the caption.
He shared the battle has its ups and downs.
"Minsan good news, minsan meron bad news, bahala na ang Diyos sa buhay ko."
Ong first made public his diagnosis in 2024. 
He was set to run in the 2025 midterm elections but withdrew to prioritize his health. 

According to Cleveland Clinic, sarcoma is a rare type of cancerous tumor that develops in the bone and connective tissue. Its treatment plan includes surgery, radiation, chemotherapy, targeted therapy, and immunotherapy. 
Although he didn't disclose any further details, Doc Willie sent a heartfelt message of gratitude to all his supporters.
"I love you all very much❤️Maraming Salamat sa mga prayers ninyo para sa akin,” he ended.
Previously, Doc Willie shared that his health has been stable. 
“Walang makasasabi gaano kahaba ang buhay natin. Pero masaya na ako sa 8 months na bigay ng Diyos para makasama ang pamilya at mga followers ko,” he said.
