Richard Gomez on daughter Juliana dating Ricci Rivero: 'Wala naman problema sa akin'

Actor and politician Richard Gomez gave a brief comment about his daughter Juliana dating basketball player Ricci Rivero at the sidelines of the recently concluded SONA.
"Wala naman problema sa akin kung nagkikita or lumalabas silang dalawa; si Juliana is of age already, wala namang bawal," Richard said.
Although he imposes no restrictions when it comes to dating, he did have one request.
"Sinabi ko na sa kanya nung una, kung manliligaw sayo yung lalake dun siya manligaw sa bahay," he said.
According to Richard, he was unaware that his daughter was dating the PBA player.
"Actually nalaman ko na lang na may nanliligaw na basketball player sa kanya [Juliana] kasi napapanood ko sila dati nung player pa sila sa UP," he added.
When asked if he had already talked to Ricci about dating his daughter, Richard quickly responded, "makita ko lang silang masaya, okay na ako dun." 
Speculation surrounding Ricci and Juliana began to swirl in 2025, when the two were spotted spending time together.
The rumors gained further traction when Ricci was seen in Thailand during the 33rd Southeast Asian Games, where Juliana was competing as fencer. 
Although the two haven't confirmed their relationship, they continue to appear together publicly, including at gatherings of the Gomez family.
