Jaecoo launches pure EV version of J5

Omoda & Jaecoo Philippines has launched the Jaecoo J5 EV as the company expands its battery-electric vehicle lineup and dealership network in the country.
The electric crossover enters the Philippine market with a price of ₱1,399,000. It made its local debut after ranking first in pure-electric vehicle sales in Thailand and Indonesia during the first half of 2026, according to Omoda & Jaecoo.
The J5 EV combines electric propulsion with technology, comfort, and features intended for everyday use. Its arrival adds another fully electric model to the company’s growing range of new-energy vehicles for the Philippine market.
The ownership package includes one year of free preventive maintenance service and one year of roadside assistance. Customers also receive three years of access to the vehicle’s remote mobile phone control service and a free wall charger.
Omoda & Jaecoo Philippines also introduced a battery state-of-health warranty for the J5 EV. The company will replace the battery free of charge if its state of health falls below 70-percent within the applicable warranty period, although battery replacement remains subject to the terms and conditions of the warranty.
The J5 EV arrives as Omoda & Jaecoo reports stronger battery-electric vehicle sales in the Philippines.
Based on January to June 2026 sales figures attributed to the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. and the Truck Manufacturers Association, Omoda & Jaecoo recorded 1,484 battery-electric vehicle sales during the first half of the year.
The total placed the company third in the Philippine battery-electric vehicle market. VinFast ranked first with 3,342 units, followed by Tesla with 2,374 units.
Omoda & Jaecoo is supporting its vehicle rollout with an expanding dealership network. The company now has 26 locations nationwide, with more openings planned to provide access to vehicles, after-sales services, and customer support in additional areas.
The launch of the Jaecoo J5 EV gives Omoda & Jaecoo another entry in the local battery-electric vehicle market as it builds its sales and after-sales presence across the country.
