Vice President Sara Duterte on Monday, July 27, extended her greetings to the Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) as the religious organization celebrated its 112th anniversary, recognizing its enduring contributions to faith, unity, education, disaster response, and nation-building.
In her anniversary message, Duterte described the INC as a pillar of faith and unity that has continued to serve Filipinos for more than a century.
"I wish the entire Iglesia ni Cristo a blessed anniversary," Duterte said. "May your shared faith and devotion continue to strengthen the foundations of our nation," she added.

She commended the religious group's various programs in education, livelihood, and humanitarian assistance, saying these initiatives demonstrate genuine concern for the welfare of Filipinos both in the Philippines and abroad.

Duterte noted that the Iglesia ni Cristo has consistently responded to the needs of communities through its social programs, particularly in education, livelihood development, and disaster relief.
She said these initiatives reflect compassion and a commitment to serving fellow Filipinos, regardless of where they are in the world.
The Vice President also acknowledged the organization's discipline and leadership, saying they help guide Filipinos toward righteousness and peace at a time when the country faces economic and moral challenges.
"Sa panahong nahaharap ang ating lipunan sa mga pagsubok sa ekonomiya at moralidad, ang inyong disiplina at matatag na pamumuno ay gumagabay sa ating mga kababayan tungo sa katwiran at kapayapaan (In a time when our society faces economic and moral challenges, your discipline and steadfast leadership guide our people toward righteousness and peace)," she said.
Prayer for continued growth
Duterte expressed her prayers for the continued growth of the Iglesia ni Cristo under the leadership of Executive Minister Eduardo V. Manalo.
She also expressed hope that the religious organization would continue working alongside the government to strengthen the character of Filipinos and promote a safer and more prosperous nation.
"Nawa'y magpatuloy ang INC bilang katuwang sa pamahalaan sa pagpapatibay ng karakter ng ating mamamayan at sa pagtataguyod ng mas ligtas at maunlad na bansa (May the Iglesia ni Cristo continue to stand as a partner of the government in strengthening the character of our citizens and advancing a safer and more prosperous nation)," she added.
