'That's Entertainment' reunion concert? Federico Moreno teases comeback of Kuya Germs' iconic show

Reunion concerts are proving to be a winning formula, with the recent success of the SexBomb Girls' comeback fueling renewed interest in nostalgic live events.

Now, Federico Moreno, adopted son of the late German "Kuya Germs" Moreno, appears eager to ride that wave after teasing the possibility of a reunion concert featuring the stars of the iconic youth-oriented variety show "That's Entertainment."

"Hmmm… That's Entertainment concert. Ano kaya?" Federico wrote on Facebook, instantly sparking excitement among fans and former cast members who fondly remember the long-running TV staple.

Airing on GMA Network from 1986 to 1996, "That's Entertainment" became one of Philippine television's most influential talent programs.

Created and hosted by Kuya Germs alongside Ike Lozada, the show launched the careers of numerous stars, including Manilyn Reynes, Janno Gibbs, Romnick Sarmenta, Vina Morales, Jean Garcia, Ian Veneracion, Judy Ann Santos, Piolo Pascual, Ruffa Gutierrez, Francis Magalona, John Arcilla and Isko Moreno, among many others.

Many commenters expressed support for the concept, with some suggesting the concert be held at the Araneta Coliseum.

Others hoped to see special performances from fan favorites, including Manilyn Reynes, Sheryl Cruz and Tina Paner, known as “The Triplets”.

No official lineup, venue, or concert date has been announced and Federico has yet to confirm whether the project is actively in development or simply an idea.

Although the show ended after more than 3,000 episodes, reunions among its alumni have continued to draw strong public interest, underscoring the lasting legacy of one of Philippine television's most beloved talent shows.
