President Marcos has vowed to complete all the unfinished works he has started and fulfill his promises in the remaining two years of his presidency.

"Sa nalalabing dalawang taon ng Administrasyon, tatapusin natin ang mga nasimulan, at tutuparin ang ating pangako sa sambayanan (In the remaining two years of this Administration, we will complete what we have started and fulfill our promises to the Filipino people)," Marcos said.

He made the statement as he concluded his State of the Nation Address (SONA) that lasted for one hour and 26 minutes on Monday, July 27.

"My beloved countrymen, let us continue the work that we have started. To make the Philippines the country that Filipinos deserve,'' the President said.

Marcos stressed that this cause is for the sake of the children and their future.

"There is no nobler cause than this. We do this for our children. We do this for our future," Marcos said.

"We can but do this, because we love our country and we love our people," he concluded.

In his SONA, Marcos reported how the government has responded in various challenges the country faced, including the ongoing oil crisis.

He told the people that he can face them with confidence, telling them that the government has done everything necessary to respond to the crisis.

"Mga kababayan, sa ating pagbalik-tanaw, kaya ko kayong harapin, at sabihin na ginawa natin ang lahat ng nararapat upang malunasan ang mga epekto ng krisis (My fellow Filipinos, as we look back, I can face you with confidence and say that we have done everything necessary to address the effects of the crisis)," Marcos said.
