Hairstylist, companion arrested in Muntinlupa shabu sting

Police arrested a hairstylist and his companion in a shabu buy-bust operation in Muntinlupa on Sunday, July 26.

The primary suspect, alias Freddie, 49, a hairstylist, was tagged as a newly identified high-value individual (HVI).

Also arrested was alias Christian, 25, classified as a newly identified street-level individual (SLI). Both are residents of Barangay Sucat.

At about 8:50 p.m., operatives from the Southern Police District’s District Drug Enforcement Unit staged the operation at a parking lot in front of a commercial establishment in Barangay Sucat.

An undercover officer posed as a buyer and transacted with the suspects, resulting in their arrest.

Recovered from the suspects were 105 grams of shabu worth P714,000, buy-bust money, and drug paraphernalia.

The two will face complaints for violating Sections 5 (sale), 11 (possession), and 26 (attempt or conspiracy) of Republic Act 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

SPD district director Brig. Gen. Glenn Oliver Cinco commended the team for the successful operation.
