Ease on your budget with Maya Mini Payments

Published Jul 27, 2026 08:39 pm
Sticking to a budget can be stressful, especially when unexpected expenses send it over the edge. In this economy, it can be a struggle to keep up with daily expenses and stick to your budget. What more when you have to deal with sudden and unexpected expenses? Ask anyone, I have been using Maya even before the digital wallet boom during the pandemic. So, it made sense to look into Maya’s Mini Payments scheme after I availed of their Maya Black Credit Card.
Maya, recognized as one of the top digital banks in the Philippines, recently launched its Mini Payments feature, available to holders of the Maya Black Credit Card and the Landers Cashback Everywhere Credit Card.
Mini Payments allows eligible posted payments (payments already in the system) to be converted into smaller monthly payments, all processed inside the Maya app.
These monthly payments can be divided into 3, 6, 9, or 12 payments, each with a fixed add-on interest rate of 1% per month, regardless of the payment term you choose.
Just make sure the total amount converted from your posted transactions meets the minimum requirement for your plan. That would be: P3,000.00 for 3 months, P6,000.00 for 6 months, P9,000.00 for 9 months, and P12,000.00 for 12 months.
There is no minimum per individual transaction. Eligible purchases can also be combined (Fusion!) as long as the total amount meets the minimum required for your chosen plan.
For example, you had one transaction at Seattle’s Best for P1,550.72 in June, and another at Nonos for P1,715.45 in July; you can combine these transactions for a total of P3,266.17. This would make you eligible to convert the total amount to 3 mini payments. You would then pay P1,121.33 per month for three months at a 1% monthly interest. If you’re curious about how it works, you can head on over to the Maya website to try it out before trying it on the app.
All of this, of course, is still subject to approval, which can happen within 24 hours.
If you already have a Maya Black Credit Card or a Landers Cashback Everywhere Credit Card, you may want to try the Mini Payments Feature, especially since Mini Payments made before Sept. 30, 2026, come with zero processing fees.
So yes, life can still be a struggle a lot of the time, but having options like Maya’s Mini Payments can make budgeting a little less stressful and a bit more manageable. Because in this economy, we need every bit of help we can get.
